The Hidden Cost of Indecision: How to Close the Gap Between Deciding and Doing

Short descriptionAbout 78 words

How long does it take your team to go from "we need to decide" to "it's done"? For most leadership teams, the problem isn't making good or bad decisions. It's the time it takes to make the call, and the time between making it and executing it. The decision that should take a week takes a quarter. Then it waits again before anyone acts on it. That's where the money goes.

This keynote is about compressing that time.

Erez shows the four places time gets lost between deciding and doing, and why a strong leadership team can move fast in three of them and still lose months in the fourth. Each one comes with a practical move your audience can use the next morning, on a decision they're carrying right now.

Learning outcomesFor CE and program listings

Your audience leaves with:

  • Which of the four areas is slowing their decisions
  • How to decide on incomplete information instead of waiting for certainty
  • How to frame a stuck decision: the choice, the owner, the criteria
  • How to hand off one recurring decision so it stops coming back

Standard bioAbout 140 words

Erez Avramov works with business owners and leadership teams on the gap between deciding and doing: the place where high-stakes decisions stall, execution slips and money quietly leaks.

He learned how decisions work under pressure. He's a former Air Force commando and has lived through three near-death experiences. He spent a year and a half trying to save his leg, then chose to have it amputated. Each of those moments called for a clear decision, and the follow-through to come out the other side.

Off the stage, owners and leadership teams bring him in when decisions get stuck and a call needs to be made. On the stage, his keynote, The Hidden Cost of Indecision, shows audiences where decisions stall, what the waiting costs, and how to decide faster and execute sooner.

Erez is a TEDx speaker.

MC introductionAbout 30 seconds · please read as written

As a kid, our next speaker wanted to be a farmer. Drive a tractor. Water the rose beds. He even raised silkworms.

Which is ironic, because silk was once used to make parachutes. And Erez grew up to become an Air Force commando.

We asked if he'd jump in from the ceiling. Apparently there are insurance concerns.

[pause for the laugh]

These days, three near-death experiences later, life is a little calmer. He restores old Land Rovers. And anyone who's owned one knows they don't break down all at once. One small thing gets ignored. Then another. Then the whole thing stops on the side of the road.

Businesses stall the same way. One decision at a time.

That's his work now. Owners and leadership teams bring him in when decisions get stuck and a call needs to be made.

Odds are, everyone in this room has a decision that's been sitting for months. By the end of this talk, you'll know which one it is, and how to get it moving.

Please welcome Erez Avramov.

FAQ

How long is the keynote?

45 to 90 minutes, in person or virtual. A half-day or full-day workshop for leadership teams is also available.

Yes. Zoom, Teams, Webex or your event platform. We run a tech check before the day.

Where does Erez travel from?

Erez travels from Vancouver, BC. Travel is included in the quote.
